City unveils new, convenient app to access city information
The city of Nampa has a new mobile app that will give on-the-go residents easy access to city information. The digital tool provides visual connections to the most accessed information on the city’s web page, www.cityofnampa.us, and is available for both Android and Apple devices.
The app offers 39 quick links to the staff directory, city utilities, agendas, job openings, the city code and information about city services. City residents can sign up to receive email or text message updates on topics of interest, but it’s not required to use the app.
“I have experimented with the app for the past couple of weeks, and I’ve found it easy to use, and handy when I need quick information,” Communications Director Vickie Holbrook said.
If you have an Android device: Visit the Google Play store and search for city of Nampa or download the app here.
To download the app on an Apple device: Click here or search the name “CivicMobile” in the iTunes App Store. Make sure to choose “CivicMobile” and not the “CivicMobile Preview” or “CivicMobile Demo.” Once the CivicMobile app is downloaded, search for Nampa, ID, or use the ‘Find My Location’ feature to find Nampa’s app. Once you’ve selected Nampa the first time, it will open the City of Nampa mobile app each time the app is used.
The app will prompt users to register, but that’s only necessary if you want to receive email or text messages on particular topics when new information is posted.
